Families in Milton Keynes have a new way to keep children entertained with the launch of the Bright Ideas Kids Club at centre:mk. The shopping centre is introducing the monthly series of craft activities, which will run from April through to November 2026.
The first session will take place on Saturday 25 April 2026, from 11am to 4pm. Located at Door 1, just outside the M&S Food Hall, children are invited to create Earth Day-themed Globe mobiles. These crafts will feature messages about how families can make more environmentally friendly choices at home.
Attendance at the Bright Ideas Kids Club is free for all visitors. Organisers have confirmed that each month will offer a different creative theme, including ladybirds and bees in May, a coral reef project in June, and upcycling Christmas cards in November. All children and babies must be accompanied by an adult at all times during these events.
This new programme continues the tradition of community-focused events at the shopping centre, which has served Milton Keynes for more than 40 years. With over 150 stores, the centre frequently hosts free activities to support the local community, building on a busy 2025 where it hosted over 164 days of events and supported 90 community organisations.
