Residents in Fleet, Hampshire, have the opportunity to join a new floral art workshop this summer at the local library. The Serene Summer Blooms Workshop will take place at Fleet Library on Saturday 1 August 2026, running from 10:00am to 12:30pm.

Led by instructor Jacky, the session focuses on creating summer garden-inspired artwork. Participants will learn how to use a variety of techniques, including collage, water-based paints, inks, and mark-making. The workshop is designed for beginners, and no previous artistic experience is required to take part.

The event is part of the Learning in Libraries programme, which is managed by Hampshire County Council and funded by the Department for Education. The programme aims to provide adult learning opportunities across the county.

The cost to attend is £34.50, which includes a £28.50 tuition fee and a £6 materials fee. Those interested can book their space through the council’s online shop. Residents should note that the booking system has specific cancellation terms: a full refund is available for cancellations made 21 or more working days before the start of the course, while a £10 administrative fee applies to cancellations made between 7 and 20 working days in advance. No refunds are provided for cancellations made less than seven working days before the workshop.

This session is one of three similar events being held at libraries across Hampshire this summer. Fleet Library, located at 236 Fleet Road, continues to serve as a community hub, offering a range of services beyond book lending, such as language courses, fitness classes, and other creative workshops.
