Warwick District Council has launched a new community grant programme designed to support local not-for-profit groups and voluntary organisations that assist residents in need. Applications for the funding are now open, with a deadline set for 5pm on Monday 25 May 2026.

The council is offering support across four specific areas: third sector support, financial inclusion, social inclusion in targeted geographical areas, and the delivery of employment and digital support. The targeted areas for social inclusion include Brunswick Southeast and Southwest, Lillington East and South, and Sydenham West. Funding priorities focus on tackling issues such as fuel poverty, the impact of the cost of living, loneliness, and digital access.

Councillor Jim Sinnott, the council’s Portfolio Holder for Safer, Healthier and Active Communities, noted that the voluntary sector plays a vital role in supporting residents and strengthening communities throughout the district. The grant funding will cover a period of two years and nine months, running from 1 July 2026 to 1 April 2029.

To assist organisations with the application process, an online workshop will take place on 6 May 2026 from 9:30am to 11:30am. Interested groups can also reach out for practical help with their applications from Warwickshire Community and Voluntary Action, specifically through Funding and Group Support Officer Fiona Spiers. For further information, the primary council contact for the programme is Bernadette Allen, the Community Wellbeing Team Manager.
