Pop group Liberty X has been confirmed as the Sunday headliner for the 2026 Bolton Food and Drink Festival. The event will take place across the August Bank Holiday weekend, running from 28 to 31 August 2026 in Bolton town centre.
Now in its 21st year, the festival is managed by Bolton Council. This year’s programme includes performances from Liberty X, featuring original members Jessica, Michelle, and Kelli, who are set to take the main stage on Sunday 30 August. They will be joined by soul group The Real Thing, who are headlining the Saturday night on 29 August.
All live music performances throughout the weekend are free to attend and do not require advance booking. Beyond the music, the festival will feature hundreds of food and drink traders, live cooking demonstrations, and family entertainment spread throughout the town centre. While the music is free, some specific activities, such as cooking demonstrations by James Martin and the Faulty Towers The Dining Experience, are ticketed events that require a purchase.
Liberty X rose to national prominence after appearing on the television show Popstars in 2002, where they finished as runners-up. The group went on to achieve ten consecutive top 20 singles in the United Kingdom. Organisers are expected to announce further additions to the festival lineup in the coming months.
