Residents in Middlesbrough can look forward to a week of mild and mostly sunny weather, according to the Met Office. From Friday 24 April through Thursday 30 April 2026, the area will experience settled conditions with daytime temperatures reaching as high as 17°C.

Friday and Thursday are expected to be the sunniest days of the week, with clear conditions and minimal chance of rain. While the week remains largely dry, those planning activities on Sunday and Monday should be aware of a slight possibility of light showers in the afternoon. Tuesday is expected to be the only overcast day, with temperatures reaching 14°C.

Temperatures will fluctuate throughout the period, starting at 17°C on Friday before cooling to 12°C on Saturday. The weather will warm up again through the early part of the week, settling between 14°C and 16°C by mid-week. Winds will also pick up as the week progresses, with gusts reaching up to 22mph by Thursday.

Hay fever sufferers should take note of changing pollen counts over the coming days. The Met Office indicates that birch pollen levels will be very high on Friday, remaining high through Saturday and Sunday. Levels are expected to drop to moderate on Monday and low by Tuesday.

The current period of dry weather is due to a high pressure system remaining over the UK. This pattern is expected to continue for the remainder of April, with more changeable conditions not forecast until early May.
