A new Subway restaurant has officially opened at Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington, following its launch on 27 April 2026. The sandwich shop, which offers a variety of oven-baked goods, has moved from its previous location on Bridge Street where it had served the community for more than two decades.

The new store is located at 16 The Mall, occupying the unit formerly held by Shoe Zone. It is positioned directly next to the Dressing Room. The site features the company’s latest 2026 interior design, which includes self-service kiosks and seating for approximately 50 customers. This modern store style is currently available in only a small number of locations across Europe.

The business is owned and operated by local residents Graeme and Kayleigh Keast, who also manage other businesses in the area. The new Subway is open daily to serve shoppers, with operating hours from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday through Saturday, and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Sundays. Shoppers visiting the store can take advantage of free parking provided by the shopping centre.

Golden Square, which has been a prominent retail destination in Warrington since opening in 1974, continues to evolve under the ownership of the Adhan Group. The Blackburn-based property investment firm acquired the 250-year leasehold for the site in 2023.
