Cheshunt residents should prepare for a week of warm, sunny weather that will give way to a wetter and cooler Bank Holiday weekend. According to the Met Office, the national meteorological service, temperatures are expected to climb through the end of the week before shifting to unsettled conditions.

Sunny conditions are set to dominate from Thursday, 30 April, through Saturday, 2 May. Temperatures will peak at 24°C on Friday afternoon. During these sunny periods, the Met Office advises residents to apply sunscreen, as UV levels are expected to remain moderate throughout the week.

The weather will take a turn over the weekend, transitioning to light rain by Sunday morning. There is an 80% chance of precipitation throughout Saturday night and into the early hours of Sunday. As the conditions change, temperatures will drop noticeably, with a maximum of 17°C predicted for Sunday, which is 7°C cooler than the peak warmth on Friday.

Those planning outdoor activities for the weekend are advised to carry an umbrella. Visibility is expected to be reduced to a moderate level of 5km during the heaviest rain on Sunday morning, compared to the 35km visibility seen earlier in the week. Additionally, while high oak pollen levels are affecting the area through Saturday, they are expected to drop to low levels by Sunday.
