The Queens Hotel Cheltenham is opening its landmark terrace for the May Bank Holiday weekend, marking the official start of the 2026 summer season. Located in the town centre, the historic site will provide residents and visitors with new outdoor dining and entertainment options throughout the coming months.

The terrace, which overlooks the Imperial Gardens, will feature an outdoor menu including afternoon tea service, charcuterie share boards, and evening cocktails. To support the season, KE Hotels, which acquired the property in July 2025, has introduced new drink partnerships with Pommery Champagne and Hawkstone. Hawkstone is a premium beer brand launched in 2021 by farmer and presenter Jeremy Clarkson in partnership with the Cotswold Brewing Company.

Guests can expect live music every weekend throughout the summer provided by Wildtone Entertainment. Performances are set to take place on Fridays from 4pm, Saturdays from 3pm, and Sundays from 2pm. The hotel, which is a Grade II* listed building designed by Robert and Charles Jearrad and modelled after the Temple of Jupiter in Rome, first opened its doors in 1838.

The seasonal opening is being promoted by the Cheltenham BID, a local organisation representing town centre businesses. The organisation entered its third five-year term on 1 April 2026, working in partnership with the Cheltenham Borough Council to support the local hospitality sector.
