Three Rivers District Council is reminding residents in Rickmansworth and across the district that bin collection dates will change during the week starting Monday 4 May 2026. Because of the Early May Bank Holiday on Monday 5 May, all waste collections for that week will take place one day later than usual.

To help households manage the change, the council has provided an online tool for residents to verify their specific pick-up days. You can find this information or download a copy of your collection calendar by visiting my.threerivers.gov.uk.

The reminder comes as the council celebrates recent environmental success. According to figures from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the district achieved the highest household recycling rate in the Eastern Region for 2024/2025 at 61.1 per cent.

Emma Sheridan, Associate Director for Environment at the council, praised the efforts of the community. She noted that these achievements are made possible thanks to the dedication of residents and the professional staff who manage refuse collection, street cleaning, and grounds maintenance across the area.
