A 30-year-old man has come forward to Dorset Police following a public appeal in relation to an assault at a supermarket in Bournemouth. The incident took place at the Lidl store on Christchurch Road at approximately 12.30pm on Tuesday 14 April 2026.
The victim was reportedly headbutted during the altercation and sustained facial injuries, though these were not believed to be serious. Following the report, a Dorset Police officer released a CCTV image of a man that officers wished to identify as part of their enquiries.
The man who came forward is currently assisting police with their investigation. No arrests have been made at this stage.
