Watersmeet Theatre in Rickmansworth has launched a new programme of family-friendly events for the month of May 2026. The Three Rivers District Council-owned venue is hosting a series of film screenings, live performances, and a community treasure hunt throughout the half-term holiday period.

The film schedule includes screenings of the Pixar animation Hoppers on 4 May, Bluey at the Cinema on 10 May, The Magic Faraway Tree on 17 May, and the Super Mario Galaxy Movie on 26 May. Beyond the cinema listings, the venue is also hosting two major live touring productions. Dinosaurs Live, a show featuring life-like puppets produced by the Natural History Museum in collaboration with Mark Thompson Productions, arrives on 27 May. This will be followed by Unicorn Live, produced by Darling Productions UK, on 29 May. The latter performance includes a real unicorn character named Sparkle and offers a free photo opportunity for families after the show.

In addition to the main stage and screen events, visitors can take part in a Peter Pan Treasure Hunt, which remains open at the theatre from 2 May until 31 May. These activities aim to provide diverse entertainment options for local families during the school break.

Families can purchase tickets for any of the events online via the theatre website or by calling the Box Office at 01923 711063. The office is open for enquiries between 10am and 2pm, Tuesday through Friday.
