Folkestone Invicta FC is opening recruitment for its women’s football team, with the club inviting players to attend open trials for the upcoming 2026/27 season in Folkestone.
The trials will take place on Thursday 21 May 2026, from 7pm to 9pm, at the Alcaline Stadium on Cheriton Road. The event offers local footballers the opportunity to join the squad as the club continues to build on its recent successes across all divisions.
The women’s side, managed by Mark Janser and supported by coach Rebecca Sheepwash, is preparing for its next campaign after a strong performance in the SECWFL Kent Division One East. The team, which currently holds a fourth-place position in the league, previously celebrated a league and cup double during its inaugural 2024/25 season.
The push for new talent follows a historic year for the club, as the men’s first team, led by manager Jay Saunders, secured the Isthmian Premier Division title and earned promotion to the National League South. Those interested in taking part in the trials are required to register in advance by contacting manager Mark Janser at 07903 433811 or Women’s Chair Cat Morris at 07775 243860. The club notes that players attending the trials must wear moulded studs, as flat soles and metal studs are not permitted.
