Residents in Bootle can expect a week of mild but unsettled weather as the Met Office predicts a mix of sunny intervals and rain, accompanied by increasingly strong winds through 12 May 2026.

The week begins with sunny intervals, but conditions are set to change as rain showers move through the area. Residents should plan for the wettest period on Thursday 7 May, when the chance of precipitation is expected to peak at 90 percent between 2pm and 3pm. While Saturday 9 May will be the warmest day of the week with temperatures reaching 18°C, light rain is expected to develop from midday, with the chance of wet weather increasing to 70 percent by the evening.

Winds will strengthen as the week progresses, rising from around 20mph in the early days to gusts of 28mph by Monday 11 May and Tuesday 12 May. According to the Merseyside Resilience Forum and its Merseyside Prepared campaign, there are currently no active severe weather warnings for the region. However, officials continue to monitor for potential flood risks across England through the Environment Agency.
