Children in Tunbridge Wells will have the opportunity to improve their sporting skills this summer as Tunbridge Wells Rugby Football Club brings back its popular Kiwi Camp. The five-day activity event is set to take place at St Marks Recreation Ground from 27 July to 31 July 2026.

The camp, which is delivered in partnership with NZ Rugby Experience, focuses on non-contact rugby and is open to children between the ages of U6 and U16. Throughout the week, participants will engage in fitness sessions, skill-building exercises, and various games, with the chance to learn the Haka. The sessions run daily from 9:00am until 3:00pm.

Organisers have confirmed the camp is open to all children regardless of their previous experience or club membership status. The cost to attend is £35 per day, and sibling discounts are available for families booking the full five-day programme.

The club, which has been based at St Marks Recreation Ground on Frant Road since its origins as Old Skinners RFC in 1931, has a long history of community and youth engagement. This includes an innovative school ambassador scheme launched in 2012 that received national recognition from the Rugby Football Union. The facility has also served as the starting point for notable athletes, including former England and British and Irish Lions captain Martin Corry.
