The Norfolk Chambers of Commerce is hosting a free workshop in Norwich on 14 May 2026 to help local business owners learn how to use artificial intelligence in their marketing efforts.
The event, titled Smarter Marketing with AI: Tools, Tactics and What’s Next, will take place at Hardwick House from 9:00am to 11:30am. Attendance is limited to approximately 15 people to ensure an interactive experience for those attending.
Beks Houston, the managing director of Smash Marketing, will lead the session. Houston, a chartered marketer with over 20 years of experience, will guide participants through practical uses for artificial intelligence, including tools for creating images, video, and written content. The workshop will also cover methods for improving website performance, search engine visibility, and using automation to streamline marketing tasks.
This session is part of the CityFibre Digital Academy, a four-year project designed to help smaller businesses improve their skills in areas like digital marketing and cybersecurity. The initiative supports a broader effort by the UK government, which is partnering with the British Chambers of Commerce to provide artificial intelligence training to 10 million workers by 2030. Recent figures indicate that only about one in six businesses currently use this technology, highlighting a need for further support among smaller firms.
In addition to this workshop, the local chamber provides ongoing resources through its own AI Academy, which offers tiered training programmes for businesses looking to adopt new digital tools.
