The town centre of Hinckley in Leicestershire is set to become a vibrant outdoor gallery throughout June 2026, as the Colour The Town Art Trail brings a variety of creative displays to the local streets. Running from 1 June to 30 June, the free event aims to draw visitors into the town to support local shops, cafes, and other businesses.

Organised by Hinckley BID, a not-for-profit organisation that represents over 400 town centre businesses, the trail will feature a range of artwork and sculpture installations. These displays have been created by local artists and business owners, with additional live entertainment planned for selected days throughout the month.

The event is part of a wider effort to maintain the strong footfall and low shop vacancy rates that Hinckley town centre has seen compared to other market towns in the county. The Colour The Town Art Trail team is led by BID Manager Helen Crouch and Events Manager Hannah O’Dell, supported by a board of 12 directors representing local businesses.

Residents and visitors can also look forward to other activities in the town centre during the month, including a Classic Vehicle Meet on 18 June and the Armed Forces Day Service and Parade on 27 June. These events, alongside the art trail, are part of the town’s ongoing programme to animate the centre and encourage residents to explore the local high street.
