Residents of Wellingborough should prepare for a cool and unsettled week of weather, with regular showers expected from Monday 11 May through Saturday 16 May 2026, according to the Met Office.

The forecast predicts daytime temperatures ranging between 13°C and 16°C throughout the week, while overnight lows are expected to dip between 2°C and 7°C. Monday morning begins with a high 90% chance of rain at 8am, though conditions are expected to clear to overcast by the afternoon.

The wettest period for the town is set for Wednesday and Thursday, with rain probabilities reaching 90% or higher and wind gusts expected to hit 39mph on Wednesday. Residents are also advised that UV levels will be high on Tuesday and Wednesday, meaning sunscreen is recommended for anyone spending time outdoors during the middle of the day.

Friday will see showers increase throughout the afternoon, with a 50% to 60% chance of rain continuing into the evening. The week is set to end with drier conditions, as Saturday and Sunday bring more settled weather with only a slight chance of rain and daytime highs climbing toward 17°C.
