Residents in Bournemouth can expect a week of mild weather with a mix of sunshine and periods of rain, according to the latest forecast from the Met Office.

Temperatures throughout the week will range between 15°C and 18°C. Tuesday 12 May is expected to be the warmest day, reaching 18°C, while sunny intervals are forecast to dominate the weather on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Those planning to be outdoors on Wednesday 13 May should prepare for wetter conditions. The forecast indicates a 90% chance of precipitation between 10am and 11am, alongside wind gusts reaching 38mph. Thursday 14 May is also expected to bring periods of light rain.

The Met Office notes that unsettled conditions are likely to affect the South West through the middle of May, as low pressure systems pass through the region. Despite this, the upcoming temperatures remain consistent with the seasonal average for the area, which typically sees daytime maximums around 16°C.

Pollen levels remain low across the week, with only early season grass pollen beginning to emerge. However, the agency advises residents to be mindful of UV levels, which are expected to be high from Monday through Friday, and moderate on Saturday and Sunday. Sun protection is recommended during midday hours.
