The Warrington Food and Drink Festival is returning to Bank Park and the grounds of Warrington Town Hall for its second year on 16 May and 17 May 2026. After attracting over 67,000 visitors to the town centre last year, this year’s free event features around 80 traders offering street food, artisan goods and local hospitality options.
Organised by Warrington BID in partnership with Independent Street, Warrington Borough Council and Culture Warrington, the festival will be open from 11am to 7pm on Saturday and 11am to 5pm on Sunday. Confirmed traders include Baked by Nicola, Bowes Dairy Produce, Hive & Honey, Press & Melt Grilled Cheese, Pizza in the Box and The Salford Rum Company.
The festival programme offers a variety of entertainment, including live demonstrations on sourdough making, Cheshire cheese and cocktail preparation. A music stage will host performances from Tina Sax, Daniel Green and Kickback Sundays alongside local choirs. For families, the event includes circus skills workshops, balloon modelling, face painting and a small fairground.
Andrea Morley, project manager at Warrington BID, noted that the 2025 event exceeded expectations and saw a huge response from both visitors and businesses. Cllr Tony Higgins, cabinet member for climate change, sustainability and the environment at Warrington Borough Council, added that events of this nature make a real difference to the town centre.
