Residents who rely on the Peterborough Foodbank for Friday support should note a temporary change to the service location next week. On Friday 15 May 2026, the foodbank will operate from Dogsthorpe Methodist Church on Birchtree Avenue instead of its usual home at KingsGate Community Church.

The temporary venue change is for one day only. The service is expected to return to its regular location at the KingsGate Community Church, located at 2 Staplee Way in Parnwell, on 22 May 2026.

While Dogsthorpe Methodist Church already hosts the foodbank for its regular Saturday sessions, this switch is the only time the site will be used for Friday distribution. The organisation announced the move on 8 May 2026 to ensure regular visitors have enough notice to plan their visit to the different site.

The local service is part of the Trussell network, which operates food banks across the country to provide emergency support for those in need.
