The Southampton Diving Academy will host its annual Southampton Invitational competition from 24-26 October 2026, marking the 25th anniversary of the event at The Quays Swimming and Diving Complex in Southampton.

The upcoming competition at the Harbour Parade facility is expected to bring together divers from across the UK. Since the academy was founded in January 2000, it has produced more than 30 international athletes, including Olympic silver medalist Peter Waterfield and Olympic gold medalist Chris Mears.

The academy is led by president Lindsey Fraser, who has had an extensive career as an Olympic athlete, team manager, coach, and judge. Fraser established the academy shortly after the facility opened to the public in June 1999. The complex remains one of only four high-performance centres for diving in the UK and features Olympic-standard equipment, including a 10-metre diving board and an 18-metre diving pool.

A significant tradition during the event is the presentation of the Gavin Brown Trophy. The award was first introduced at the 2007 competition to honour the memory of diver Gavin Brown, who died at the age of 22. Residents interested in attending the anniversary event or volunteering can find more information on the academy website.
