Families in Luton have a new option for school holiday activities with the addition of a free arts workshop at the Stockwood Discovery Centre. The Culture Trust Luton will host the Art In The Garden event on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, as part of the local May half term break.

The workshop will take place at 11:30am and 2pm, offering children a chance to explore the outdoor landscape of the centre. Participants will collect natural items to create sculptures and use eco-friendly, nature-based paints to make art. The session is designed to encourage creativity through sustainability by highlighting the textures and colours found in the gardens.

Entry to the Stockwood Discovery Centre is free, and the venue provides complimentary parking for visitors. Families should note that the centre is a cashless site, meaning all payments must be made using electronic methods.

The event is managed by The Culture Trust Luton, an independent charity that has operated the venue since 2008 with a mission to connect communities through culture. Beyond the holiday workshop, the centre is currently hosting the Luton Made: Vauxhall exhibition until 28 June 2026 and will present the A Noise Annoys poetry show on 23 May 2026.

More information about the holiday programme can be found on the Art In The Garden event page. Local term dates are managed by Luton Borough Council.
