Children and young people in Wolverhampton can access a variety of free activities during the upcoming half-term break, running from Monday 25 May to Friday 29 May 2026. The Yo! Active programme provides over 40 hours of physical activity sessions each week, aimed at keeping local youth engaged and healthy.

The initiative is a partnership between the City of Wolverhampton Council, WV Active, and the Wolves Foundation. Funding for the sessions is provided through the council’s #YES Fund, which also ensures that a meal is included with each activity.

Eligible participants include any resident aged up to 18, as well as care leavers and those with special educational needs or disabilities up to the age of 25. With more than 18,500 young people already signed up to the programme, it continues to be a popular option for families across the area.

The range of activities on offer includes swimming, gym and court hire, multisport sessions, basketball, and racket sports. There are also specific sessions designed for young people with special educational needs and disabilities, alongside various family-focused events.

To take part, families need to have a free account with WV Active. Bookings can be made online, by calling 01902 551010, or by visiting any of the three local leisure centres: Aldersley, Bilston-Bert Williams, or Central.
