The blood test service at Princess Royal Hospital in Telford will move to a new location within the main hospital building starting on Tuesday 26 May 2026. The service, currently based in the Malling Health building, is relocating to an area near the pharmacy to improve patient flow and access to care, according to the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

Patients visiting the hospital for blood tests should follow the signs that will be put in place to guide them to the new area. The trust, which serves more than 550,000 people across the region, is making the change as part of a wider effort to make services easier to navigate for the community.

Residents who require blood tests still have the option to book appointments at other locations, including the Community Diagnostic Centre at Hollinswood House in Telford or at Whitchurch Community Hospital. The Community Diagnostic Centre has been providing diagnostic services to the public since it opened in October 2023.

Those who need to manage their appointments can use the cancellation link provided in their booking confirmation email. Alternatively, patients can contact the booking line on 01743 492510, which is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm.
