Dorset Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man following a break-in at a home in Uplands Gardens, Bournemouth. The incident took place between 7pm and 8pm on Saturday 18 April 2026, when entry was forced to the property.

Although the home was searched during the incident, investigators do not believe that anything was stolen. Police Constable Ethan McLean is leading the inquiry and has released images of a man they wish to identify as part of their ongoing investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information about the incident should contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260055461. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

This appeal comes as the force encourages residents to keep their homes secure as part of its Good Safe Summer campaign. Local efforts to tackle such crimes have recently seen the force move into the top quarter of all police forces nationally for positive outcomes in burglary cases, a success attributed in part to the formation of a dedicated Neighbourhood Crime Team.
