Community groups in Warrington are being invited to apply for a share of £50,000 to help fund activities for children and young people during the upcoming summer holidays. The SWAP Summer Support Fund, managed by Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner Dan Price, is now accepting applications for projects running between July and September 2026.

The funding consists of money seized from criminals under the Proceeds of Crime Act. By reinvesting these assets, the SWAP Summer Support Fund aims to prevent crime by providing safe, engaging environments for residents. Local charities, community groups, social enterprises, and schools running activities outside the standard curriculum are eligible to apply for grants of up to £2,000.

The money is intended for projects that focus on three key areas: supporting children and young people through holiday clubs, promoting wellbeing through sports or arts, and reducing social isolation for marginalised groups. During its inaugural year in 2025, the fund supported nearly 30 projects across Cheshire, including dance workshops, creative arts, and cooking experiences.

Groups interested in applying must submit their entries by 5pm on Wednesday 17 June 2026. For those looking for assistance with their applications, support is available through Warrington Voluntary Action.
