Reading College is inviting adults in Berkshire to explore new career opportunities and educational pathways at a free open event on Tuesday, 16 June 2026. The session will take place at the college’s Kings Road campus in Reading from 3:30pm to 6:00pm, providing a convenient opportunity for those working during the day to learn about flexible study options.

The event is designed to support individuals seeking a fresh start, looking to gain new skills, or hoping to progress in their current roles. Representatives from Reading College will be available to discuss a wide variety of on-campus and online courses, including GCSEs, Access to Higher Education, AAT accountancy, and other professional qualifications.

As part of the evening, attendees can take part in a free printmaking workshop led by tutor Helena Tym. Running from 5:00pm to 5:45pm, the session offers participants the chance to create their own one-colour lino print using mark-making techniques to take home.

The college is part of Activate Learning, an education group that was granted University Centre status. The group recently secured an additional £390,104 in government funding, which will allow for the recruitment of 125 extra learners and provide more loan-funded places for online courses at Level 3 and above.

Located a 15-20 minute walk from Reading town centre, the Kings Road campus provides access to specialist facilities, including training kitchens, a construction centre, and creative art workshops. The college also maintains proximity to public transport links, including train access to London Paddington.
