Poole will bask in dry and sunny conditions for the rest of the working week, with the mercury climbing to a peak of 27°C on Thursday according to the Met Office.

Despite that official high, high humidity levels of 88 per cent will make conditions feel closer to 25°C. Forecasters have warned that UV levels will be high, urging residents to seek shade during the middle of the day and to wear sunscreen when heading outside.

Those who suffer from hay fever may also need to take precautions, as pollen counts are expected to remain high across the area for much of the week. Temperatures will stay warm through Friday and Saturday, hovering between 24°C and 26°C with plenty of clear skies.

By Sunday, however, a gradual change will roll in, bringing cloudier skies and outbreaks of light rain that will drag daytime highs back down to around 20°C. The cooler, more unsettled theme looks set to continue into early next week, when temperatures could dip to 18°C alongside blustery showers and winds gusting up to 36mph.
