Northamptonshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault at The County pub in Abington Avenue, Northampton. The force issued the call for information on 27 May 2026, urging anyone who was at the venue or in the surrounding area at the time of the incident to come forward.

Officers are particularly keen to speak with people who may have seen what happened or have CCTV or dash‑cam footage from the vicinity. The pub, also known as The County Tavern, sits at 220 Abington Avenue in the St George, Abington and Phippsville neighbourhood policing area. A previous serious assault at the same premises in June 2022 resulted in a man suffering a fractured jaw.

Northamptonshire Police are asking anyone with information to call 101 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111. The force continues to run operations targeting serious violence across the county, and this appeal forms part of that ongoing effort.

Residents in the Abington Avenue area with relevant footage or direct knowledge of the incident are encouraged to reach out as soon as possible. Even small details could prove vital to the investigation.
