Public toilets and baby changing facilities on Catalina Drive in Poole Town were damaged by vandals last week, prompting a police appeal for witnesses.

Dorset Police said the criminal damage occurred sometime between 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 20 May and 7.45 a.m. on Thursday, 21 May. The force is investigating the incident under reference number 55260077429.

The alert was issued through the Dorset Alert system by Tony Thomas, a volunteer with the Poole Neighbourhood Engagement Support team. Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area around Catalina Drive during that time is asked to contact Dorset Police online at www.dorset.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting the reference number. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via Crimestoppers-uk.org.

The damaged facilities are used regularly by families visiting the town centre, and the vandalism has been described as a blow to community amenities. Local neighbourhood officers have been maintaining a visible presence as part of ongoing efforts to tackle antisocial behaviour in public spaces.
