An exhibition of works by members of the Poole and East Dorset Art Society has opened in the Gallery Upstairs at Upton Country Park, with free daily viewing until Monday 8 June 2026.
Titled ‘Into the Light’, the show is open from 10am to 4.30pm each day and features pieces by current members of the charitable organisation, which was founded in 1924 and once counted Sir Augustus John and Henry Lamb among its contributors. The society, registered charity number 1184632, has staged regular exhibitions at the park for several years.
The 160-acre park is free to enter seven days a week and holds Green Flag status alongside a TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award and the Dorset Tourism Visitor Information Service of the Year title for 2023/24. Gates remain open from 8am to 9pm through September, while the Upton Country Park Welcome Centre operates from 10am to 4pm for exhibition details and information about the Grade II* listed Upton House and its grounds.
The art society is also organising an outdoor painting event, Art in the Park 2026, on Sunday 7 June, which is open to all.
