Business professionals in Middlesbrough can build new contacts at a free Chamber Connect networking morning on 17 June 2026. The North East Chamber of Commerce has arranged the drop-in session at 131 The Venue, running from 10am to 11.30am, with no formal agenda and no ticket required.

The event is being hosted by Recovery Connections, a charitable organisation based at the venue. Engagement managers from the Chamber will be on hand to introduce attendees to other members and keep conversations moving. “It’s an easy going, drop-in style event,” the Chamber explains. “Stay for the full event or just swing by – our engagement managers will be there to introduce you to other members and help you get connected. No agenda, no pressure – just good conversations.”

The session is aimed primarily at smaller businesses and brings together a broad mix of sectors. Attendees can expect to meet other SME owners and decision-makers, swap ideas, and pick up fresh perspectives without the formality of a structured programme. There is no dress code, though the organisers suggest dressing as if meeting new clients, with comfort kept firmly in mind.

The North East Chamber of Commerce runs more than 200 events a year across the region, with Chamber Connect gatherings also held in Sunderland and Northumberland. A Chamber Spotlight event will follow in Middlesbrough on 7 July 2026.

Recovery Connections’ role as host puts a community-focused charity at the centre of this business initiative. 131 The Venue will open its doors without charge, and those who can only spare a few minutes are just as welcome as those staying for the full 90 minutes.
