Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council is opening its next Business Network event on 18 June 2026, inviting local firms to a free lunchtime session at the MIRA Technology Institute. From midday to 2pm, attendees can meet Bill Cullen, the council’s chief executive, alongside speakers from the Leicester and Leicestershire Careers Hub, Horiba MIRA, and the Federation of Small Businesses. The institute sits on Eastern Avenue in the Lindley area of Nuneaton under the CV10 0UX postcode.

The afternoon includes speed networking guided by Jennifer Thomas of the FSB, plus briefings on the MIRA Tech Park App Marketplace — a digital platform that puts local businesses in front of more than 40 occupiers on the technology park. Sonal Morjaria from the Careers Hub will outline modern work experience opportunities, while Lindsey Randle of Horiba MIRA delivers a site update. A light buffet lunch is served on arrival, and anyone with dietary needs is asked to flag them ahead of time. Registration is strictly required because places are limited, using the council’s regeneration contact form.

The institute itself opened after a £9.5 million grant from the Government’s Local Growth Fund, channelled through the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership. It stretches across 24,500 square feet with 15 classrooms, three workshops, a board room, and a 120‑seat conference centre. The site is a collaboration between North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, HORIBA MIRA, Coventry University, Loughborough University, and the University of Leicester.

These networking lunches are becoming a fixture. The council ran a similar event at the same venue on 3 December 2025, and Bill Cullen has previously said the gatherings give businesses “a chance to learn about important topics … while also connecting with like-minded individuals and organisations.” Regular Arriva bus services link the institute to Atherstone, Nuneaton, and Hinckley.

Spaces remain available but the council warns that capacity is not unlimited. Firms wanting to attend should complete the regeneration contact form on the borough website to claim a place before the lunch fills up.
