Devon & Cornwall Police are asking witnesses to come forward after a serious collision on St Marychurch Road left a motorcyclist hospitalised. The crash, involving a silver VW car and a red motorbike, happened near the junction with Ridgeway Lane on Thursday 25 June.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.30pm. The motorbike rider sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. Officers are now appealing for anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage that could assist their investigation to quote log 789 of 25/6/26 when getting in touch via the force website or by calling 101.

St Marychurch Road forms a key link between Newton Abbot and Torquay, carrying regular local traffic through the area. The stretch where the collision occurred sits close to the junction with Ridgeway Lane, and dashcam evidence has become an increasingly valuable tool for investigators trying to piece together the moments before serious road incidents.
