Broxbourne Borough Council has released its 2026 Summer Fun Brochure, setting out a programme of free activities for children and young people across the borough from 1 July to mid-September. The council’s news pages confirm the brochure is available online now, with physical copies arriving in libraries from the week commencing 6 July.

Lark in the Park returns from Monday 27 July to Friday 21 August, bringing water fights, laser tag and sports sessions to a different outdoor spot each weekday between 2pm and 4pm. Grundy Park hosts Mondays, Barclay Park takes Tuesdays, Cheshunt Park runs Wednesdays, Cedars Park covers Thursdays and Goffs Oak Playing Fields closes the week on Fridays. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult, and while there is no need to book, everyone signs in at the start of each session. The council’s separate activity announcement adds free rugby taster sessions at Cheshunt Rugby Club and youth skateboarding at Cheshunt Park. An open-air cinema evening at Grundy Park is also part of the summer programme.

The brochure, arranged chronologically, mixes council-run events with partner offers such as the Hertfordshire Libraries Summer Reading Challenge and a Community Day at Wormley Community Centre delivered with B3Living. Residents who prefer printed details can collect a copy at council events, any local library or Lowewood Museum once distribution begins in the first full week of July. The Community Development Team handles enquiries on 01992 785555 or at [email protected].

Wednesday sessions at Cheshunt Park carry a Youth Basketball Edition tag aimed at 11- to 16-year-olds, while Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons remain open to all ages. Friday sessions at Goffs Oak Playing Fields are the Youth Multi-Sports Edition for ages 11 to 16. The full programme sits at www.broxbourne.gov.uk/events and as a direct download from the council’s file library.
