A Gloucester man has been charged with murdering his father at a property on Alney Terrace, Gloucestershire Constabulary confirmed. Lawrence Robert Whayman, 55, stands accused of killing 80-year-old Lawrence Joseph Whayman on the evening of 2 July 2026.
Officers were called to the address at around 9pm that Thursday following reports of an injured man. The victim was found with suspected stab wounds and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where he died a short time later.
