Residents in Cuffley can raise concerns about anti-social behaviour and crime directly with their local policing team later this month. The Welwyn & Hatfield Neighbourhood Policing Team will hold a drop-in Beat Surgery at Cuffley Community Library in Maynard Place, Station Road, on Wednesday 15 July 2026 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm.
PCSO Joanne Woods, who serves the Welwyn Hatfield South area, sent out the invitation on 6 July and encouraged residents to attend. “We are keen to hear about any concerns you have regarding Anti Social Behaviour, crime or any other issues affecting you or our local community,” she said through the Herts Connected alert system. Anyone who cannot make the surgery can still share their concerns via an online survey linked in the same alert.
The library, which is run in partnership with Cuffley Community Library Volunteers, offers free Wi-Fi, computer access and study space. It is open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am to 5pm, and on Fridays from 2pm to 5pm. The venue provides wheelchair access and hearing loop facilities.
Beat surgeries have been a regular feature of the Welwyn Hatfield policing calendar since the start of 2023, with past events at Hatfield Library, Birchwood Leisure Centre and St John’s Church community café. A similar surgery is taking place at Hoddesdon Library on Wednesday 8 July between 2pm and 4pm, as the force continues to take community engagement into libraries and other local spaces across the district.
