The Leamington North Safer Neighbourhood Team has set its policing priorities for the coming months, maintaining focus on drug supply and use alongside anti-social behaviour. Posted on Warwickshire Connected on 1 July 2026, the new priorities run until 30 September and will see targeted operations, high-visibility patrols, school engagement, and community partnership working.

The team’s planned actions are a direct response to concerns raised by residents and reflect an ongoing commitment to tackling the issues that affect daily life in the area. Residents can report concerns by visiting the Warwickshire Police website or by dialling 999 in an emergency.

Inspector Edward Box oversees the Warwick District Safer Neighbourhood Team, while Sergeant Trent McMurray leads operations in Leamington. PC Sarah Morton and PCSO Tanya Ryan are also part of the town centre team. Across Warwickshire, 33 local policing teams operate, grouped into three areas, with Leamington and Warwick falling under the Warwick District. The priorities are shaped through consultation with local authorities, community leaders, and residents.

In recent years, the team has used Closure Orders to shut down properties linked to drug dealing and persistent anti-social behaviour. In September 2025, a three-month order was granted on a property on Charles Gardner Road following numerous reports of criminal activity. A spokesperson previously described these orders as “a powerful tool in our arsenal” for disrupting offenders and protecting communities.

The fresh priorities come during a period of wider county consultation, as Warwickshire Police invites residents across the county to share their views on neighbourhood policing. Recent feedback has identified anti-social behaviour as a top concern, even as reported incidents have fallen by 16% across the county.
