Travel Essex has opened bookings for a dedicated Park and Ride shuttle service to the Colchester Castle Summer Series, returning to Lower Castle Park from 20 August 2026. Seven headline acts will perform across the series, with pre-booking required through the Travel Essex website.
The shuttle runs from the Colchester Park and Ride site off the A12 at Junction 28, wrapping in parking and a guaranteed return trip after each show. Concertgoers pick their outward and return journey times at the point of booking, using Stripe for payment. Return buses collect passengers from either Fenwick’s on the High Street or Middleborough on Balkerne Lane.
The series opens with Billy Ocean on 20 August, followed by Hollywood Vampires on the 21st, Becky Hill on the 22nd, and Bastille on the 23rd. After a short break, Richard Ashcroft performs on 27 August, JLS on the 28th, and Fatboy Slim closes out the event on 29 August.
The open-air concert series launched last year and drew almost 70,000 attendees. Peter Taylor, founder of promoter Cuffe & Taylor, said the team was focused on bringing world-class acts to the historic park. The regular Park and Ride site already handles traffic for Colchester United matches and holds 970 vehicles, though the concert shuttle extends the service specifically for the evening dates.
