Dudley Kingswinford Rugby Club has called on players of all ages to register for the 2026/27 season as it prepares for another campaign in Regional 2 Midlands West. The club is urging both returning members and newcomers to sign up now through its official website to help the Heathbrook-based side hit the ground running come September.

Seven senior sides are run by the club, alongside a full pathway of junior rugby from Micro’s up to Under-17s and Colts. The women’s team, the Vixens, trains on Tuesday evenings at 7pm and plays on Sundays, with Owen Barton handling enquiries from women and girls interested in joining. “Rugby has never been more popular with women and girls, and at DK we’re looking to welcome new players,” the club states.

The club has been a fixture of Kingswinford life for over a century. Founded in May 1920 as Bean Football Club, it adopted the Dudley Kingswinford name in 1927 and moved to its current Heathbrook ground on Swindon Road in 1962. More recently it won promotion from Regional 1 Midlands in 2022-23 before a single season in National League 2 West ended in relegation. A summer rugby camp for children from Under-6 to Under-14 is also being run.

Director of Rugby Robert Chivers and Chair Richard Taylor are among the key contacts for anyone wanting to get involved, whether as a player, coach, or volunteer. Registration details and contact information are available on the club website.
