National Express West Midlands is rolling out summer timetables from Sunday 19 July, with the operator’s latest service update listing changes across the region as traffic levels ease during the holiday period. Wolverhampton passengers will see adjustments on more than 20 routes, including reduced frequency on Service 9 to Walsall and a revised summer timetable on Service 82 to Dudley.

Service 9, which runs to Walsall via Bloxwich and Wednesfield, will operate at a reduced frequency, while Service 82 to Dudley via Bilston and Coseley moves to a revised summer timetable. A further 19 Wolverhampton-linked services — including the 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 6A, 8, 10, 10A, 16, 16A, 32, 33, 59, 69, 79, 529, X8 and X10 — are also listed for summer adjustments. Separately, Diamond Bus service 26A, which currently runs between Wolverhampton and Bilston via Goldthorn Park, will terminate at Bilston, with evening and Sunday journeys on Service 229 extended to cover Stowlawn.

Beyond Wolverhampton, Service 57 between Stourbridge and Wall Heath will be withdrawn after the last journey on Saturday 18 July. A new Monday–Friday off-peak Service 226A will run from Merry Hill to Dudley via Kingswinford, while existing route 226 provides a further alternative. The operator typically trims timetables each summer to align with lower demand during school holidays, and these changes were registered with Transport for West Midlands six weeks ago. Separately, the long-running Burnt Tree roadworks that have disrupted Services 74, 87 and 126 are due to finish by 19 July, allowing Services 87 and 126 to return to their normal paths and schedules, while Service 74 will operate a revised timetable.

Full details of every revised timetable are available on the National Express West Midlands website.
