Dorset Police have released an image of a man they want to identify following a racially aggravated incident at Poole Retail Park in Redlands. A male member of staff was racially abused and threatened with violence at around 10.30am on Sunday 14 June 2026. The man was escorted away and no injuries were reported.

Police Constable Matthew Wilks said the force takes all reports of hate crime very seriously and enquiries are continuing. He urged anyone who recognises the man in the image to come forward. Information can be submitted through the Dorset Police website, by calling 101 and quoting occurrence number 55260087904, or anonymously to Crimestoppers.

The appeal, published on 8 July, follows standard investigative steps where initial evidence is gathered before an image is released. Dorset Police define a hate crime as any offence perceived to be motivated by hostility based on race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or gender identity. The force works with Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council to support victims and pursue offenders.

Officers encourage anyone who has witnessed or experienced hate crime to report it, stressing that reports enable proper investigation and access to support services.
