Families with young children can enjoy a free morning of play and learning at The Zone in Huddersfield on Friday 17 July 2026. Huddersfield Giants Community Trust is running the Early Years Activity Morning from 9:30am to midday, welcoming parents and carers with children under five. The session includes Little G’s multisport, Bongo Beats music and movement, and soft play.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance via the Book My Party website. Arrival is between 9:30am and 10am at the St Andrews Road venue. The trust has partnered with TrustFord Huddersfield, which will offer free 10-minute electric vehicle test drives during the event. For every test drive completed, TrustFord donates £30 to support the trust’s community programmes. A valid driving licence is required to take part.
Bongo Beats sessions use music and movement to develop social skills, coordination, listening, talking, vocabulary, self-confidence, creativity and imagination in young children. The Zone runs these sessions regularly during term time on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, normally costing £6.99 per child with sibling discounts. The community hub also hosts balance bikes, mini sensory sessions, Little G’s gymnastics and tiny cheerleading classes throughout the week.
TrustFord is an official partner of Huddersfield Giants Community Trust, and this test drive initiative allows the dealership to back local programmes while giving residents a chance to try electric vehicles. The trust previously reported high engagement and attendance during May half term activities earlier this year.
