The South Derbyshire District Council is hosting a free marketing workshop in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, on Monday, February 2, 2026, to help new businesses reach more customers. The session will provide practical tips for people who have recently started a company or have a new business idea they want to develop.
The training will be held at the Swadlincote Innovation Centre (Bob Wheeler House), located on George Holmes Business Park, George Holmes Way, Swadlincote, DE11 9DF. Experts will lead hands-on activities to help owners improve their website presence and identify the best ways to connect with local people to increase their sales.
This event is part of the wider South Derbyshire Accelerator project funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), a UK government programme to support local economic growth. This February session is one of the final opportunities to access this expert-led support for free before the current funding cycle ends on 31 March 2026.
The workshop is being delivered in partnership with the East Midlands Chamber and the D2N2 Growth Hub to help small firms improve their online skills. Business owners are encouraged to register early; places are available via the South Derbyshire District Council website or the D2N2 Growth Hub portal.
