Police are asking the public in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, to help find a teenager who went missing on 25 January 2026, after new information suggested the search should move to the local area. The young person was last seen in Derby, but officers say they may now be in or around Swadlincote.

Derbyshire Constabulary said it is growing increasingly concerned for the teenager’s safety and is treating the disappearance as a priority. Residents and business owners are being asked to keep a lookout and report any sightings immediately, quoting Derbyshire Constabulary incident reference 982-250126.

Officers from the South Derbyshire Safer Neighbourhood Team are asking people in the community to check their CCTV or doorbell cameras. They are specifically seeking any footage recorded between Sunday evening and Tuesday morning that might show the missing person.

If you have any information that could help find the teenager, call 999 in an emergency or 101 for non-emergencies, or use the Derbyshire Police contact form online: https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/. You can also share information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
