Patricia (surname withheld), a resident of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, has been found safe and well on 27 January 2026 after a local search effort. Officers confirmed the recovery this morning and said the search was closed after members of the public and local officers helped locate her.

Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed the outcome on its news portal and thanked members of the public for sharing the appeal and helping with enquiries.

The successful search follows the force’s recent rollout of a new online portal. In mid-January Hertfordshire Constabulary adopted the Safe and Found Online platform, which allows carers, family members and vulnerable individuals to register key personal details (following the Herbert Protocol and Forcer Protocol) so officers can access up-to-date information quickly during searches.

Residents who need to report a concern about a missing person or find safety advice can use the Hertfordshire Constabulary Missing Person Guidance page or the online reporting tool at https://www.herts.police.uk/report. For non-emergency concerns contact the police on 101. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
