Residents in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, will be able to speak with their local police officer at a pop-up session at the Victoria Centre’s Warm Space on January 30, 2026. PC Wigmore of the Wellingborough Town Neighbourhood Policing Team (Northamptonshire Police) will be available at the centre from 13:30 to 15:30 to listen to local concerns and offer safety advice.

The visit will take place in the centre’s Warm Space communal area, where visitors can also get a hot drink or a meal. The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner’s December 2024 newsletter emphasises “visible and accessible community services,” a priority that supports holding sessions in community settings so officers can meet residents informally rather than only at a police station.

The Victoria Centre, at 46–50 Palk Road, has served the town since 1979 and remains an important hub for many local groups. The centre did face financial difficulties and, in October 2023, the BBC reported that an appeal had been launched to save it; the centre later reported entering a recovery phase after fundraising and support from partners and funders.

North Northamptonshire Council administers the Government’s Household Support Fund (HSF), which has been used to support Warm Spaces and other help for households struggling with energy and living costs. Police say that PC Wigmore’s attendance is subject to operational requirements and could change if officers are required to respond to an urgent incident.
