The Bonington Theatre in Arnold, Nottinghamshire has released its spring 2026 programme aimed at bolstering town-centre footfall while longer-term plans are considered. The programme features a variety of live music, plays and immersive/participatory events for local residents.

Theatre fans are being offered a five-night run of Shakespeare’s Othello (March 4–8, 2026) as part of the season. (Readers should check the Bonington box office for final dates and times.)

For live music, Jazz Steps will host a jazz night on March 26, 2026; the spring programme also includes a Simon & Garfunkel tribute on June 12, 2026.

The venue will host the interactive thriller Club Mistero on April 3, 2026, an immersive show in which the audience can take part in solving a mystery. Tickets are available via the Bonington online box office and the theatre’s ticketing team — the Bonington is owned and managed by Gedling Borough Council and booking is handled through the theatre’s online/box-office system (see the theatre website or call the box office to confirm availability).

These events form part of wider efforts to maintain cultural engagement and town-centre activity while the council pursues plans tied to the ‘Ambition Arnold’ town-centre project. A Nottinghamshire Live (Nottingham Post) report on 29 July 2022 set out the council’s previous £50m ‘Ambition Arnold’ funding bid, which included proposals to replace or modernise the leisure centre and theatre as part of wider redevelopment plans.
