Banbury Library is hosting a free drop-in session on February 3, 2026, to help residents in Oxfordshire get to grips with technology and online services. The event will run from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the library building on Marlborough Road.

The session is designed to help people who struggle with everyday tasks like sending emails, filling out online forms, or using library apps. Trained Digital Helper Volunteers will be on hand to provide one-on-one coaching to anyone who feels overwhelmed by the internet.

Organisers say the session is perfect for seniors, jobseekers, or anyone who has recently bought a new smartphone or tablet. Residents do not need to book an appointment and are encouraged to bring their own devices so they can learn on the equipment they use at home.

The Oxfordshire County Council is running the programme to ensure nobody is left behind as more services move online. This effort comes as Cherwell District Council and other partners prepare to move Banbury Library to a new, modern home in the Castle Quay shopping centre.
