Bus Times Change in Kingswinford for February Half Term

Residents in Kingswinford, West Midlands, will see temporary changes to bus times during the school half-term week from Monday 16 February to Friday 20 February 2026. National Express West Midlands (NXWM) says it is adjusting peak‑time services because demand and traffic levels typically fall when schools are closed (see NXWM service updates).

The changes will mostly affect buses running during the busiest parts of the morning and afternoon — broadly between 07:30–09:00 and 15:30–17:30. NXWM says its holiday peak timetable will generally reduce departures by one to two per hour on high‑frequency routes; this could affect busy commuter services such as the X10 to Birmingham and the 6, 7 and 8 routes.

NXWM says its data show traffic in the Dudley borough historically falls by around 15–20% during the February half‑term; the operator is using a holiday‑peak timetable for the five‑day period to avoid buses arriving very early or running empty and to preserve on‑time performance.

Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) has urged passengers to use the ‘Live Map’ feature on its app or other live‑tracking tools rather than relying solely on printed timetables at stops. TfWM and NXWM warn that even small, temporary changes to frequency can affect connections in Stourbridge, Dudley and Birmingham, so passengers making timed connections should check live departure information before travelling.
